Police officers perform dance to classic song from 34-years-ago and I can’t stop smiling

Who knew that these cops could also bust a move?

There is hardly anyone who is able to resist a good Lip Sync Challenge. However, the latest of these challenges to go viral has got cops in on the play, and some of them are turning out to be exceptionally amazing videos.

The advent of the challenge was explained by 7 News Miami, noting, “The whole thing started in Texas on the 19th of June, when the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office shared a video of their deputy, Alexander Mena, singing ‘Fuiste Mala’ by Kumbia Kings.

From there, it just kind of took off.

Officers who are in charge of social media for the department decided to post the video on social media platforms, saying that he had a ‘mean lip sync that nobody can beat’.

The action prompted other law enforcement agencies to take the challenge up, and it has continued to rise in popularity ever since”

Law enforcement officers are supposed to serve and protect, but it turns out that they can also do a mean lip sync dance routine when someone puts the call out there.

The Nixa Police Department in Missouri decided to throw their hat into the ring, and they definitely didn’t do badly for themselves. They had a fun take of the song ‘Footloose’ by Kenny Loggins.

Of course, the lip sync song needs to include some dancing, and the cops were joined by a couple of community members. Together, they all had an all-out dance party, and it was just so beautiful to see.

The video started with a shot of the police chief’s door as it was opened, and he came out, saying the classic Kevin Bacon Footloose line, “I thought that this was a party”. From there, the chief instructed them all to dance. There are also a few shots of peoples’ feet getting into the groove and cops putting some of their moves on display before they start the real dancing and dip syncing.

The police department took to Facebook to note, “No budget, no production (the video was shot and edited by our Public Information Officer, who actually studied film production), and all our officers out some time into participating.

We believe in being responsible with the money paid by tax payers, and we made sure to do so, even while we had a lot of fun”

They also thanked some other parties, saying, “Thanks to everyone in the Nixa community who came out to party with us. Y’all are much fun!”

Among the many comments that their video got on Facebook were people who were absolutely in love with the video.

Someone said, “This was really awesome”

“It’s still the best one I’ve seen,” wrote another

Others were also impressed by the fact that it was more than just police officers who were involved in the video.

Comments included “I love how you guys included members of the community and other organizations” and “You did an awesome job by inviting a lot of people from the community, and it looks like you all had a lot of fun”

Another commenter said, “This was an awesome video. It is truly beautiful to see people come together in a community and have a lovely time together. I really love this stuff. It’s always good to see something competitive and still positive”

This kitchen staple is the secret to soft towels, whiter whites, and more laundry solutions

Wondering how to get fabulously clean laundry every time without spending big bucks? One simple ingredient can give stains a smackdown, soften hardened towels, and nix odors. What’s it, you say?

Oh, it smells bad but the laundry gods have done us right by giving us vinegar. It can make most laundering problems disappear if used properly. It works well with others, is environmentally-friendly, is cheap, and is easily adaptable for homemade cleaning recipes of all sorts.

If white vinegar is not a part of your regularly scheduled laundry programming, now is the time to change that. Jump below to see all the ways you can use distilled white vinegar for your dirty loads. After reading, you’ll want to make it a mainstay in your washroom.

Odor Destroyer
Without the use of synthetic perfumes that can mask odors or cause skin irritation, vinegar gets rid of odors. Mildew? Armpit sweat? General funk? Covered. Vinegar kills bacteria that keeps the stinky alive.

To remove mildew smells from towels, add 2 cups of distilled vinegar to a washer filled with hot water. Add your towels and run the normal cycle. You can follow up with an additional cycle if you want.

For clothing, add ½ to 1 cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle to get rid of reek. Your other option is to presoak extra reeky items in 1 cup of it and cold water. Let the item(s) sit for about 20 minutes before washing.

Stain Go-Getter

We don’t need to know the specifics of the types of stains you encounter, but white vinegar can address many. Spray uncut vinegar onto a stain and let it sit for 10-15 minutes before washing. Mild stains can also be soaked in a mixture of 1 cup vinegar + 2 cups of warm water.

For harsher stains, make a paste using 1 tablespoon of baking soda and vinegar. Add just enough vinegar to form a pasty texture and apply it to the stain.

Preserve Dark Clothing
Repeated washes can lighten black jeans and other dark clothing items. To prevent soapy residue from clinging to their fibers, put ½ to 1 cup of vinegar in the final rinse cycle.

Lint and Static Fighter
White vinegar helps to repel static, lint, and pet hair from laundry. Drop ½ cup of vinegar into your washer’s rinse cycle.

Soften Your Loads

A natural fabric softener, vinegar breaks down detergent residue, leaving your laundry soft – especially towels! You can either pour ½ cup into the fabric softener dispenser on your machine or add it before the final rinse.

Reverse Bleeding
Wash dye-damaged goods with 1 cup of distilled vinegar during a normal wash cycle using your regular detergent.

Gentle Whitener
Vinegar brightens and whitens without harsh chemicals. You can use it on normal loads or to remove stubborn stains from whites by adding 1 ½ cups of vinegar to the wash cycle.

If you’re not afraid of hot water, conquer discoloration like underarm stains by soaking white items in ½ gallon of hot water and 2 cups of vinegar overnight. Wash as directed.

Any worries you have about a lingering distilled vinegar scent can be put to rest – the smell goes away after drying. With so many benefits in the laundry room, it’s a good idea to take advantage of this distilled gift. Stock up on this staple and watch some of your laundry annoyances go down.

Are you already reaping the benefits of white vinegar for your laundry? Would you try any of these tricks?

Mom finds out she’s expecting identical twins, then doctor calls with ‘good news and bad news’

Meghan Bradley was thrilled when she found out she was pregnant. She and her husband, Josh, already had a 3-year-old son named Hunter, and they were excited to grow their family.

When they went in for an ultrasound, Meghan and Josh were stunned to find out they were expecting identical twins. Their family was about to expand more than they were expecting!

Mothers who are expecting multiples are often classified as high-risk pregnancies. Because Meghan was carrying twins, she decided to get genetic testing done early on.

After doing various tests, doctors called Meghan with the results. Meghan explained, “They said we have results. There is good news and bad news.”

The good news was that the identical twins — girls — were perfectly healthy. The bad news? Meghan had cancer.

Meghan’s diagnosis was shocking, but she immediately decided to go through chemotherapy. Although the chemo was hard on Meghan’s body, it was safe for the twins.

Eventually, despite the challenges, the twins were born. At 35 weeks, Piper and Willow made their debut.

Unfortunately, the chemo Meghan had while she was pregnant didn’t remove all the cancer. Once the twins were born, Meghan continued her cancer treatment with a stem cell transplant, and she’s now in recovery.

‘I held my baby and cried. I’ve never felt so alone and helpless. But then, I felt a cold nose on my arm. He was looking up at me to say, ‘Don’t worry Mom, you’re not alone. You have me.’

“If someone would have told me that the cute, chocolate brown puppy I was picking out would someday change my life, I would have never believed them. Jager is a 6-year-old, Doberman Pinscher. Not only is he my best friend, he is also my Service Dog.

I have spent the last 6 years learning and training with him, but mostly, he’s been training me. I’ve always been a dog person. We had dogs growing up and my parents had a small pet store and grooming business.

It’s safe to say I was basically born into my love of animals. When I first brought home Jager I never in a million years would have thought he would be my service dog. He was the typical naughty, trouble making pup. He chewed on shoes. He shredded several pillows. He ate socks.

Around the age of 6 months he started to pick up on my anxiety and he would lay in my lap, give kisses, try to distract me. I decided to talk to a trainer about doing some basic obedience and when we started puppy classes it was very clear he was a people pleaser.

He just wanted to make me happy and was always willing to learn anything I threw his way. We trained together for about a year and a half and he graduated into becoming a full time service animal for myself.

I suffer from Bipolar disorder, PTSD, and a generalized anxiety disorder. Now, you might wonder what a dog can do to help someone with those types of psychiatric disorders. One of the most valuable tasks Jager does is called DPT, deep pressure therapy.

It’s basically like someone having a weighted blanket on top of them to relieve anxiety but instead, the weight is replaced with a dog. He will lay on my lap and apply pressure to my legs or torso to help me recover from a panic or anxiety attack.

For the better part of his life he has helped me in many ways. I like to think he and I were meant to be together. He has always been my rock, my best friend, so when I found out this year I was pregnant, there was no doubt in my mind I would have him with me during my labor and delivery.

He came with me to every doctor’s appointment, every ultrasound. He was with me every step of the way. I spent the better part of my pregnancy wondering how he would react to having a new member in our family, would he like him?

Would he not like him? What would he do if the baby starts crying? All of those new mom questions raced through my brain. Finally the day came for us to go to the hospital and get ready to meet this new bundle of joy. I was nervous, but Jager was on point as always. He was ready to meet his little brother!

The process was pretty straight forward. They explained everything to me and Jager seemed to be listening as well. He was a huge hit with the nurses and staff on the labor and delivery ward. I spent the next two days in labor as Jager watched over me.

Always looking up to make sure I was okay when the nurses came in. Always lending a head or ear to scratch when I would have contractions, a soft kiss from time to time when he thought I needed it. Day 3 arrived and things got shaken up a bit. We needed a C-section.

When the time came to take me to the operating room, I gave him a wink and said a short goodbye. He waited in my hospital room while I headed over to await the arrival of my first baby.

Things went quickly from there and my little man was welcomed into the world 20 minutes later. Keller Monraux Morton was 7 pounds 9 ounces and 19 ½ inches long. A flood of emotions overwhelmed me as they handed me my baby while wheeling me out of the operating room.

Jager was the first one to walk up and see me, the baby cried and Jager flicked an ear up to listen and investigate. I wondered what he was thinking in that moment. ‘Who was this screaming naked puppy mom is holding?’ ‘Can I see it?’ ‘It sure is a noisy little thing!’ ‘Let me see, let me see!’

We spent the next 2 days in the hospital bonding and learning how to care for a newborn. No one tells you how hard and draining it is, especially after you’ve just had major surgery.

The day came for us to go home – I was nervous, scared, overwhelmed and downright terrified to take this tiny human home with me! How was I going to do this all alone? I held my baby and cried. At that moment, I’ve never felt so alone and helpless.

But just then, I felt a cold nose on my arm. It was Jager and he was looking up at me as if to say, ‘Don’t worry Mom, you’re not alone. You have me.’ He gently gave the baby a soft lick on his forehead and sat staring at us for a long while.

Never in my life had I felt such an enormous feeling of unconditional love. Jager was my first child, my fur child. He has done so much to make my life whole.

In the following weeks I developed postpartum depression. I would cry for what seemed like no reason. I would get so overwhelmed at the sound of my baby crying, but Jager was always there to lend a helping paw.

He fetched bottles for me, diapers if I asked him to. Mostly he would just sit and listen to me. Always offering a good old fashioned wet slobbery kiss if I needed.

It’s now been a month since my baby boy was born and I wouldn’t change it for the world. My hope is that he and Jager will grow up with each other and become fast friends. I know that he is so much more than just a dog to me. He is my family, my sounding board, and the best friend I have ever had.”

Mom puts twins on beds. Don’t take your eyes off the one on the right.

This adorable twin comedian will steal your heart. Make sure you’re ready to laugh before you read any further.

The baby girl on the left thought this would be an innocent nap. She was so wrong. Her sister couldn’t resist the chance to make her laugh.

Every time the girl on the left stopped giggling, her sister acted up. The baby girl on the right kept making funny noises until her sister laughed out loud.

How did mom hold in the laughter while she was filming? Have you ever seen such a young comedian? What’s this girl going to get up to when she’s older?

Hopefully, her sister will always be there to laugh at her jokes! This must be a regular routine for the siblings. Mom knew to have her phone at the ready as soon as she put the babies down for their nap.

What kind of jokes did your babies play when they were this little? Do all tiny tots make such adorable noises?

There’s no telling what the future holds for these cute twins. Did you know that twins don’t always get along? It’s true. Many twins, triplets and other multiple suffer from sibling rivalry.

Think about it for a second. Did you ever struggle to get Mom or Dad’s attention when you were growing up? Now imagine you had a brother or sister the exact same age as you!

Luckily, these adorable baby girls are off to a strong start with their relationship. Hopefully, they’ll focus on making each other laugh as they grow up.

How cute are these babies!
Did you ever dream about having multiples? Did you want twins, triplets or a truly challenging set of quadruplets? How would you manage the workload?

Senior passes away when couple next door learn of bag in his home with items belonging to their 2-yr-old

Even in his elder years, Ken Watson was quite the derring-do, and did everything from perform risky stunts while strapped to the wings of an airplane, to learning how to skydive at 85.

However, the last stunt the retired deep sea diver pulled off right before he passed away had never been done before, and the way he managed to keep it a secret stunned everyone.

Ken absolutely adored his little 2-year-old neighbor, Cadi, and they instantly struck up a friendship. After the man’s funeral, Owen Wilson was surprised when the man’s daughter came knocking on his door.

Somehow the nearly 90-year-old Ken had been stashing away items that obviously “belonged” to his sweet little girl.

Ken’s friendship with Cadi went so much further than anyone realized. He knew that a time would come when he wouldn’t be able to give her a Christmas gift.

So, he picked out and wrapped 14 different Christmas gifts, so that Cadi would have a new one to open every year until she was 16. Owen told the BBC:

“Our elderly neighbour passed away recently. His daughter popped round a few moments ago clutching a large plastic sack. In the sack were all the Christmas presents he’d bought for *our* daughter for the next thirteen years.”

Owen and his wife, Caroline, called her mother in Ireland on FaceTime, and they all started to tear up over their neighbor’s big heart. It was so unexpected, and no one knew just how long he had been hoarding them, or if he had thought to put together this sweet gift together towards the end of his life.

Even though the rule was supposed to be one present per year, there was a problem. None of the gifts were labeled as to which year or what order they should be opened! A gift meant for a 2-year-old would be much different than a gift for a 13-year-old!

Owen couldn’t resist, and did unwrap one of them, which was a book. He could tell there were some other books in the lot, and three or four soft toys. As for the rest of the items, it’s anyone’s guess what’s inside!

Ken, who was in his late 80’s before he passed, lived near Owen and Caroline in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

He had only been there for two years, and doted on their sweet baby girl from the moment she was born. Owen said that Ken was a “real, real character” and his actions certainly live up to that statement.

In a day and age where some people don’t even know their neighbor’s names, or worse, they wouldn’t even recognize their faces if they saw them in the store, it’s so heartwarming to know that there are people like Ken out there to make this world a much happier place.

Ken’s best stunt ever was actually done after he passed away.

If you’ve noticed a blue line painted on the street, here’s what it means

Any driver knows how important it is to pay attention to road markings. Not following these markings is incredibly dangerous and could even lead to your death.

Those who live in some areas of the U.S. may notice a new road marking appearing in the coming weeks: a thin blue line in the middle of the two yellow center lines in the road.

It turns out that this blue line is being painted on roads throughout Maryland to honor the heroic police officers who serve their communities!

This is also a safety measure, as the line leads directly to the police station. However, it is also a nice gesture to let police officers who put their lives on the line every day are having their sacrifices be appreciated.

Ocean City, Maryland recently added these blue lines to their roads, much to the delight of Mayor Rick Sheehan, who knows how much his gorgeous beach community depends on these police officers.

It is left up to these officers to keep the peace between the older retirees who live there and the rowdy teenagers who come there to party.

The line has been placed between the existing yellow road divider lines on Ocean City’s 65th street, leading straight to the Ocean City Police Department headquarters.

We can only hope that more communities across the country take notice of this and decide to have blue lines be painted in their towns! Police officers rarely seem to get the respect and appreciation that they deserve these days, and this is a great way to show how much we care about them.

Paula Deen’s son Bobby Welcomes triplets with wife Candace

Paula Deen’s family is ecstatic right now after her son Bobby Deen welcomed triplets with his wife Candace.

“I’m just going to share a little bit of what’s been going on at my house and why I’m kinda a little late on things,” Paula, 71, revealed on Facebook in a video to her fans.

“Bobby and Claudia’s babies came. She was 26 weeks and four days, so they’re pretty early. And if you didn’t know, Claudia was carrying triplets. To grandma, they’re just beautiful.”

“It’s two girls and a boy. It’s Linton, Olivia and Amelia,” Paula continued. “Amelia was named after me — Amelia Ann, because my middle name is Ann. And Olivia was named after Maria — her name is Olivia Maria, and Maria is Claudia’s mother.

Linton will make the fourth generation carrying the Linton name. It comes from their great-great grandfather. Bobby and Claudia covered all the bases.”

“Today’s Tuesday. They were born last Tuesday and they weighed in, two of them, Linton and Olivia came in at 1 lb. 12 oz. and Amelia, my little namesake, she was the hefty one at 2 lbs.,” Paula explained.

Unfortunately, the triplets were born with health problems that would necessitate them spending a few months in the hospital.

“It’s going to be a long ride for these precious three angels, but we’ve got complete faith that God’s got His arms wrapped all around them and He’s going to see them through this until they can come home. It looks like that might be January, so they’ll have to stay in the hospital about three months,” said Paula. “This family is so very blessed and Bobby and Claudia are really, really proud parents.”

We’re so happy for the Deen family that they just welcomed these three little blessings, and we pray that the babies make a full recovery and lead long and healthy lives!

Homeless man tells cop he needs hot shower. Cop’s act of kindness goes viral

Police officer Aaron Page met a homeless man in Rome, New York. The homeless man, Bobby, chatted amiably with the officer and casually mentioned how much he needed a nice, hot shower.

Office Page told Bobby he could have that shower if he came to the police precinct the next day. But nothing could have prepared Bobby for what actually happened when he arrived.

He not only got a shower – he was completely transformed! Bobby got clean clothes, a haircut, and a shave! Officer Page was not the only officer who showed Bobby kindness and respect. The segment below comes to us from “Inside Edition, ” and it was posted on April 25, 2017.

It is just another example of how a little bit of human kindness can change the world! We need more of these stories to come out!

Janitor finds skeleton dog and rushes to save him. But when vet lifts up his paws, tears start to flow

A grey pit bull was neglected by his owner to the extent that he was nothing but skin and bones. Luckily, the poor animal was rescued just on time by a person we consider to be his guardian angel.

One Clayton County maintenance worker saw the dog and knew that he shouldn’t leave him in that deplorable condition so he called the police but they told him that he couldn’t save him because it would be considered theft.

So the man contacted the animal control who left a notice on the dog owner’s door. However, the abuse went on, and then soon later, the maintenance worker finally got his chance.

He found the poor dog in a small cage on the street. His owner after abusing and neglecting him, dumped him on the streets. It was a horrible way to get rid of a dog — especially one in such bad condition — but in the other hand, it was a good thing since it gave the maintenance worker a chance to help.

He immediately took the dog out of his cage and rushed him to the closest animal hospital — one and a half hours away .

“When he came up here he was crying, he was in tears, he was in disbelief,” Cinnamon Koch, who works at the animal hospital, tells NBC 11 Alive. “This is the worst case I’ve ever seen. He’s so sweet and loving. All he wants to do is kiss you.”

The vet noted that in addition to being emaciated, the dog also had burns on his paws.

She says that despite the dog is in a very bad situation, there’s still hope he will survive, thanks to the maintenance worker’s intervention at the right time. Since she had no idea what the dog’s name, she named him after his rescuer — maintenance worker Mikey.

not long after Mikey’s rescue, four young girls heard about him and have donated their weekly allowance to help him recover. They visit the animal hospital as often as they can to see him.

Mikey only weighed about 24 pounds (10 kg) when he was admitted — about half of what he should have.

Police report know who did this, but haven’t pressed charges yet, as they are currently still investigating the case, reports NBC.

Watch this video to learn more about Mikey’s rescue and to see how lovable he is:

We’re glad that Mikey the maintenance worker did the right thing for the poor dog and we thank him for that. The world is a better place thanks to people like him. Share this and let’s help all animals have a better life!
